She seeks revenge on her ex-lover Fire, whom she slept with in exchange for supplies and food. Fire put Annamaria in prison for ruining her life as she knows it. Every character has a backstory and each one is more complex than the other. Will Annamaria get her revenge and will the aftermath ever end? Told through the perspective of at least a few more many characters, the book takes you deep into the hearts and minds of other survivors living in a dark and gloomy time where the only fear they have, is the undead that feast on the flesh of other humans.
