Reseña del libro "A Higher Light: Hasidic and Kabbalistic Insights into the Jewish Holidays (en Inglés)"
If you are familiar with the fasts and festivals of the Jewish year, then you are probably aware of their historical background and moral significance, but what about their spiritual message? In this work, Rabbi Larry Tabick guides you through a vast array of Jewish mystical texts, drawn from Kabbalah and Hasidism, that offer deeper insight into these well-known occasions, their meaning, customs and practices. Many of these texts have never been translated before. Each selection is introduced briefly, accompanied by notes clarifying obscure points, and followed by a short commentary exploring its modern spiritual relevance. Rabbi Larry Tabick is emeritus rabbi of Mekor Hayim (formerly Shir Hayim) Reform Jewish Community, London, UK, after nearly 30 years of service there, and was lecturer in Kabbalah and Hasidism at the Leo Baeck College for the training of rabbis and teachers in London. He is the author of Growing into Your Soul (Hylas Books, 2005) and The Aura of Torah: A Kabbalistic-Hasidic Commentary to the Weekly Readings (JPS, 2014).
