Mobile phones have inevitably become important part and parcel of everyday life. Various studies have shown that excessive use of mobile phone leads to chronic headache, impaired concentration, fatigue, sleeplessness and eye strain. The present study conducted using quantitative approach was designed to investigate whether the symptoms of ill-health reported by young people may be associated with the use of mobile phone (MP) and to analyze its influence on the health of youth. The questionnaire was designed specifically for the study contained items regarding health conditions and health complaints as well as the frequency of MP use. The response rate was 100% (consisting 54 research participants).The study deduced an increase in minimum duration of smart phone usage on a daily basis by youth. Heightened Use of MP has resulted in health issue like chronic headache, lack of concentration, fatigue, sleeplessness and strain in eyes.
