At 22 years of age Peter started as a construction worker and at 25 years old became a foreman at a large construction company in Alabama and worked on a two year project there. Setting out on an adventure in his new truck, traveling from New York State to the state of Alabama, he ventured out on his own knowing only that a friend had a job waiting for him when he got there. In time he came of age when he found himself with new found freedom. He had new experiences and learned more about himself. He learned to live with choices he had already made and learned to face choices he had never faced before. He learned to follow through with his decisions and live with them as well. He goes into detail about his stories of living in the south in his memoir of the events in Alabama.
