Reseña del libro "Enzyme Immobilization on Tapered Optical Fiber: An Application on Glucose Sensing"
Optical fiber technology is considered as one of the uprising field in photonics. Numbers of different fiber-based devices have been fabricated to systematically detect the element of interest, with majority of the research works are focused on the selectivity and sensitivity of the sensor. In this research, a specific method of developing the sensor is demonstrated. For the fabrication of tapered optical fiber, flame-brush technique was used on optical fiber, the tapered region was coated with glucose oxidase (GOD). The optimization of fiber sensor was done by comparing coated GOD surface with bare (uncoated) fiber, and second by differentiating pH-value of GOD enzyme.
