Having been imprisoned in Elfhame, the Faery World, for several months, Emily is growing tired of Sylph Court rules and the smug, Fae Knight who is bound to be her guard. After an attack on the Court, the King and Queen are dead and Oscar, Emily's boyfriend and the Sylph Prince, has become King but there's a problem - the Crown, which contains the magic that allows him to rule, has been stolen.
