Reseña del libro "Hebrews: Love justice and hate evil (en Inglés)"
Our task is: go, make disciples, baptize and teach. To do that job we need strong and confident Christians that know and understand the Bible. In fact, all Christians should all have adequate, accurate and truthful knowledge of the Bible to understand and apply it correctly. These study guides are for anyone who wishes to gain a deeper biblical knowledge and understanding - especially persons who are new to Christianity. The aim of this series is to make disciples and to help others to do the same. So, we must know the Bible including the letter to the Hebrews. Hebrews is unique. Its contents are deep, challenging and difficult equal to that of the book of Revelation. The letter to the Hebrews will challenge you, so be prepared but also know, you will be richly rewarded. The author speaks to God's people that He loves very much, people who have "tasted the heavenly gift (6:4), But they were also people who knew hardship. Because of the difficult circumstances of their time, they had to abandon Jerusalem, their holy city, to seek refuge in some coastal city. They were despondent, desperate and on the verge of apostasy. He tells them how much God loves justice and hates evil by exposing their human weaknesses and spiritual immaturity. But the author points them to God's revelation in their Lord, Jesus Christ and all His power, love, and grace. He urges the congregation to "obey" and "submit" to its pastors who "keep watch" over "their souls" (13:17). He encourages them to persevere in faith and obedience. He wants to propel them onward toward a life of obedience, courage, and certainty. His overriding message is that salvation is certain and eternal and urges them to re-discover their first love.
