When passions flair in the midst of a thunderstorm, with the possible death looming over their heads, will tragedy be the end story or will they make something good and new out of a bad situation? For three weeks after Justin's near death experience intern Mira Johnson and Chief Pediatric surgeon Dr Alexis Cruz enjoyed their new found romance. For Alexis, it was a breath of fresh air and for Mira it was dream come true to be with the woman she had eyed since the day Alexis started working at Salt Lake Memorial. It does not help that her ex keeps showing up and one of Mira's closest friends and love interest, Kayla, blows into town and steals her away for some TLC.
