The Woodland Elves live in seclusion in a cleverly hidden, closely guarded, secret location in the Great Redwood Forest of Northern California. They are a benevolent, peace-loving race and have a reverence and respect for all living things. Throughout their history they have perceived humans to be a threat to their race and the planet itself. Two thousand years ago and still, today, the Elders believed humans to be a warring race, consumed with the pursuit of wealth and power. When a male elf reaches his 16th birthday he is given a great banquet and then, at midnight, he is presented to the Circle of Elders for the Empowerment Ceremony. The young elf is given tools and gifts of great knowledge to assist and protect him on his quest into the world of humans. He is tasked to (as anonymously as possible) teach us by example the true value of tolerance, loyalty, trust and love.
