My main objective of this exercise is to trace the origin of the Sissalas, and specifically who the South Sissala are; where can they be located, what is their culture and how they are ruled.I have therefore highlighted where they originally were, what caused their migration to the current site. Since the Tribe is a Heterogeneous group, I have attempted identifying and listing the various groups within the tribe.There is also an attempt to explain how the "TERM/NAME" ISALA/SISAALA is derived.This is followed by the position of the "SISAALAS" in the region and the country as a whole, geographical characteristic, and the economic activities they undertake for a living. This is followed by the "Religion" of the Sissala, Land Tenure and Marriage system among the SissalasIt concludes with a detailed history of the South Sissala people.
