Often when I am doing pastoral visitations in hospitals around the Valley, I usually see, near the main entrances, signs with the hospitals' Mission and VALUES Statements. Under VALUES they list several standards that they promise to provide their patients. To be VALUE-Driven means to be motivated and guided by the standards that persons and/or organizations have accepted for themselves and those they serve. Our church discovered that we didn't know our Values. An evening Bible Study led to a series of 6 messages starting with Identifying Our Values as a Pastor and People. The subsequent messages expound on our CORE VALUES to ensure that the Pastor and People of our church are VALUE-Driven in all we do. From these sermons, this Bible Study was adapted to make certain all our members and community fully understand who we are and why we serve the way we do. Although this book was written for the members of our church, it is for person or organization who desires to be VALUE-Driven for the cause of Christ.
