We have been praying the Rosary, according to the substance of this book, since sometime in August of 1990, about 1 month after our return from Medjugorje. My wife, Ann Marie, reads one of the messages from our Blessed Mother at the start of each mystery. She always reads each message twice, in order to get a better understanding, which usually comes on the second reading. This book does its' best to present each of the 20 mysteries of the Rosary. Each mystery has a brief reflection followed by a reading from the Bible that pertains to that mystery. This is followed by excerpts from the Gospel of Jesus as well as the Epistles of Saint Paul. Each mystery is depicted by a small graphic representation. All of which is meant to inspire reflection and meditation. Over the years we have added some additional prayers not normally found in the traditional Rosary. Some have been with us for all of the years, while some have been added along the way. In our way of the Rosary, every bead has a prayer, including the Miraculous Medal, upon which we say the prayer given by our Blessed Mother to Saint Catherine Laboure. These times are very difficult for those who are trying grow in faith and very dangerous for those who have lost their faith. We need the Rosary now, more than ever. The prayer that allows us to have an extended communication with Jesus and Mary. The prayer that brings the entire life of Christ, on this earth, into deep focus. When we pray the Rosary, we are united with all of the communities of faith, into one family of faith, into one common people under God, who are living a Grand Novena.
