Thirty year old David Howard, on his regular morning run on the beach, receives a strange message written in the sand and so begins corresponding with an elusive stranger. In an unusual series of events, he falls in love with his new pen-pal and things reach a climax when he demands to meet the stranger who calls himself Sand, the man who has made a profound difference to David's life.
