Reseña del libro "The 50-Acre Woods (en Inglés)"
"The 50-Acre Woods" is set in present-day Lafayette, Louisiana, and the author's descriptive writing style takes the reader to visualize the sites and to know the characters. The story follows the lives of the Foret family, Sherri, Justin, Bess and Karl, who appeared in the author's last two novels, "The Restoration Project" and "Lilies of the Spirit." In this latest book, the family is directly impacted by events related to the investigation of U.S. Senator Ray Monds for suspected unethical voting practices. The senator's attractive Cajun-born administrator is brought into the family group via her proximity to Sherri, also as a result of the investigation. In the midst of their collaborative experiences, Sherri's perceived ability to communicate with spirits of deceased persons persists but with a currently diminished role as she faces her life's next phase leading her to the 50-acre woods. The resident community, known as Woodsand Lake, is reached via a road built on heartwarming bonding of individuals in a setting of intrigue, heartache, love, ethics, humor, spiritualism, and romance.
