In the capital city of Fairagon, a young noble lad named Asher Brand goes to his favorite bookstore one foggy night, seeking a book that will further his knowledge and understanding of fire magic to better prepare him when he is to attend Morenbolt Academy in hopes of one day becoming a powerful mage. What he instead finds is a book on dragon lore that not only piques the boys interest, but draws him with a great force that at once awakens something within Asher, something ancient, powerful, fearsome. Reading a chant inscribed within the books text causes the lad to change into a most rare creature. A half-human, half-dragon creature called a Drakesarian. One possessing many traits of a dragon, such as: wings, a tail, sharp clawed hands, a body covered in scaly armor, and bright, fierce yellow eyes. With the only human aspects remaining being the face and voice. Upon seeing a vision of this happening, as well as a vision of a great evil emerging, a Sage named Xandor seeks out the young half-dragon for aid and also to train the boy how to harness and control his great powers to combat evil. Foes such as the Necromancer who in the Sages vision, holds a mystical and powerful relic known as the Dragon Bloodstone. A magic stone that upon repeating an ancient chant, and one who is willing to sacrifice their very life in order to be forever transformed into a dragon. The Necromancer seeks out the stone so that he may use its great power in creating an army of winged, fire breathing dragons to conquer Fairagon, and all in the country of Artheria. Asher's ability to repeat the ancient chant of the dragon thrice times in succession and to at once transform into the Drakesarian is the best and perhaps last hope to stop the Necromancer. But alas he is not alone, the boy has the Sage Xandor, his granddaughter-a Cleric healer named Thea, Asher's knightly older brother Sir. Thomas, and other allies at his side. Together, they must travel to a dark, looming and trap laden tower to recover the Dragon Bloodstone, before all hope is lost.
