This story is about how two lovers broke the curse of an antique violin, and how the violin fulfilled its destiny. Tian Chen is a musician who has a big heart. He gave up his dreams and went back to his hometown, preparing to settle for a mediocre life as a high school music teacher. However, the dust will never settle down by itself. He happened to possess an antique violin from an underground flea market. The antique violin was an authentic Guarneri, 300 years old. Its previous owner was an innocent high school music teacher who was sentenced to death during a Chinese government crackdown campaign in 1996. The conspiracy about his death was one of the curses bound in the Guarneri. As the new owner of the Guarneri, Tian fell into the feud of two local noble tribes and met his lover Qing Yin. Their relationship was challenged by the dark secrets behind the Guarneri. The boom and bang of Chinese real estate market, the rising and collapsing of bitcoin, the corruption, the daunting murder case related to the Guarneri, and the greed of mankind came one after another to crush them. The two lovers struggled to stay afloat in the perfect storm of Chinese economy, compromising here and there, including the deprivation of the Guarneri and love. Could the Guarneri survive?
