The Singing Piano is based on Music Learning Theory (MLT) and the research of Dr. Edwin Gordon. For teachers and students who use tonal and rhythm solfege (Gordon or Takadimi) the Singing Piano is a great resource. And, for teachers NEW to tonal solfege (Do Re Mi) and rhythm solfege, The Singing Piano is a great place to start. This learning series provides a flexible structure and well thought out Music Learning Sequences that follow a "sound-before-sight" process. Music students will be engaged right from the beginning as they explore major and minor tonalities along with simple meter and compound meter.
